PNBA Book Festival

This past weekend, I had the honour of being invited to attend the Pacific Northwest Bookseller Association‘s fall tradeshow. I was part of a select group of authors invited to autograph copies of our books at the Saturday Nightcapper event. I shared a table with another Simply Read Books author, Kathy Beliveau, author of the wonderful picture book The Yoga Game.

Cozy Classics was incredibly well received by the dozens of independent booksellers who came by our table. Booksellers loved the concept and the needle-felted artwork so much we ran out of books halfway through the event!

I had the chance to meet Nikki McClure, known for her intricate and beautiful papercuts, as well as Publishers Weekly correspondent Judith Rosen. Cozy Classics event got invited to headline an art fair next summer for the Book People of Moscow (Idaho)! At the Sunday breakfast, I had the chance to hear New York Times bestselling children’s author Jon Klassen tell us about the creation of I Want My Hat Back, and his new sequel, This is Not My Hat.

All and all, it was a great weekend, and the beginning of some terrific on-the-ground buzz for Cozy Classics.
